In order for someone to become successful at any given endeavour, it is necessary to change their system of beliefs to be more in tune with those people who had been successful in the activity that the individual wants to be successful in. It is therefore necessary to install the beliefs of those successful people into a person’s mind in order for that person to achieve a similar method of success.

How do we install the beliefs of successful people?

In a practical sense, we do everything we can to study, research and immerse ourselves in their lives. Establish your heroes as role models for yourself. Study their lives so intensely that you start to think as they think and start to integrate their thought patterns as your own. This is a key aspect of modelling—the adoption of another successful person’s system of beliefs as your own.

It’s important to note that you don’t need to adopt all of your role-model’s traits as your own because inevitably you might not particularly like or want a specific trait of one of your role-models even though you may want to integrate a majority of their behaviour patterns into your life.
